Why Choose an Electric Wall Heater

Electric wall heaters are by far one of the most popular heating solutions available, and it is not hard to see why. Not only are they a cheaper and fuss-free alternative to central heating radiators they are a fantastic way to modernise your home thanks to their minimalistic designs. Better yet they are a great way to cut down on expensive energy bills and reduce the amount of waste energy, something that many of us are looking to do in the current climate. This is largely due to the fact that wall-mounted heaters are regulated by ERP Lot2- legislation, but what exactly does this mean?

LOT20 Compliant

Well as mentioned above all wall-mounted electric heaters are now governed by ERP Lot 20 legislation, these new regulations state that every unit manufactured after 2017 will have to meet a certain level of energy efficiency. This is of course a good thing, as it means you're guaranteed an eco-friendly, low-cost performance that'll help to reduce your heating bills. To comply with these laws, a wall-mounted heater must possess a thermostat that's accurate to within 0.2 degrees, a programmable timer, and one other eco-friendly feature (for example, an open window detection mode). Note that these regulations only apply to wall-mounted heaters - models that can't be wall-mounted aren't bound by Lot 20.

As mentioned above, thanks to the Lot20 regulations put in place by the government all our wall-mounted panel heaters come with incredibly accurate thermostats with a discrepancy of only 0.2 degrees. Helps to save energy and also ensures that the temperature in your home or workplace does not fluctuate keeping it consistently warm and comfortable.

Open Window Detection

This feature was introduced in many new models as part of the Lot20 compliance and to help cut down on wasted energy. This feature is designed to detect sudden drops in temperature often associated with leaving doors or windows open for prolonged periods, when this is activated the unit will turn off in order to prevent wasting energy trying to heat a room where all the warmth is simply escaping.

Child Lock

Our MYLEK models also include a child lock feature which will lock the control panel buttons to prevent any curious little hands from accidentally turning the unit on or altering any of the existing heat settings!

Smart Heaters
