Aluminium Front Panel

The premium quality aluminium front panel allows for heat to be quickly transferred (due to aluminium's fantastic conductive properties) across the room, heating rooms up quickly and reducing the energy required to get your room to temperature without additional energy use.

Dual Heating Technology

This panel heater uses dual technology to quickly and effectively heat a room. It uses both radiant heat, which is transmitted through the aluminium front panel and convection heat that is circulated around the room through the air vents at the top of the unit.

Packed with Energy Saving Features

In compliance with ERP and Lot20 Legislation, this unit is packed full of features to make it both energy efficient and cost-effective to run. This includes an intelligent thermostat that is accurate to 0.2 degrees to ensure you can maintain consistent temperature during use, without the need to constantly be reheating the whole unit which uses excessive energy. A 7day programmable timer, so you can ensure your heater will come on exactly when you want it and for how long you want it. This unit also comes with open window detection, which will cause the unit to turn off and save energy should it detect a sudden drop in temperature associated with a door or window being left open.

A remote control is included with this unit, so you can control your heater from the comfort of your seat.

This is a great unit, read about people struggling to set the timer but it was not that difficult and once set you can just leave it . Used as back up heat in the kitchen and the timer facility makes it all good without having to swi8tch on the central heating when it turns cold in the day. Simply cant fault it and it looks really good !!

Is there an option to switch the heater in immediately for a set amount of time, like an hour?

Yes, the heater can be programmed per hour to your daily requirements

How do you turn the open window detection off?

The open window detection is programmed into the heater and can not be switched off on this model.

How do the wall brackets look? How far does the radiator protrude from the wall when mounted on the brackets? Can the radiator be easily removed from the brackets? Where is the chord situated on the right hand side of the radiator as our nearest socket is just above the skirting board 120cm away from right of radiator. Many thanks Sue Ford

The heater must not be located under or in front of a mains socket.

A clearance is required of 20cm (200mm) on all sides.

I am trying to program the heater for my elderly mother in law. The instructions are not helpful! Us there a way of entering the same program for the whole week simply rather than every day individually

The heater can be used manually or by using the 24/7 timer. So every hour must be programmed.

I presume this can be plugged into the mains ?

This comes supplied with a 3-pin UK plug.

Why are the different modes? such as day and night modes? surely only the the temperature settings matters.

The heater has 3 heating modes comfort (sunshine) Eco (half moon) Anti-freezing (frost) The heater can be used manually or with the timer.

Is it safe with children around who might touch it

Children under 3 must be kept well away from the heater unless under constant supervision.

It is not designed for children to operate.

The heater will get hot to the touch so additional precaution is required for children and other vulnerable persons.

1. what is the running cost of 600 and 1.5 mylex aluminium panel heaters. what does the guarantee cove or exclude. Can the guarantee be extende beyond one year. are wall brackets included in the price and what are the content inthe pack thsnks

The running cost is 6p per hour for the 600W, and 15p per hour for the 1.5Kw, based on your energy provider charging 10p per KwH. If the heater develops a fault within the 1 year warranty we will replace it like for like (subject to stock availability). The warranty cannot be extended. The brackets are included in the price. Contents include heater, remote controller, wall brackets and fixings, feet and instructions.

How long is the lead? I will be plugging it in to heat the bathroom

The lead length is 1.2 metres.

Hi can the thermostat be locked ?

The Heater controls will automatically lock when no button has been pressed for sixty seconds as a child safety function. This operation willoccur in both manual and automatic modes. The heater controls can be unlocked by pressing the + and - buttons together on the control panel for 3 seconds or on the remote control.

If using the remote control for the heater, can there be more than one heater controlled within one room.

Yes, this remote control would work for any Mylek heater within that range.

This item would not be suitable for use in a bathroom as it is not IP rated.

Would these heaters be suitable and safe to use in an insulated wooden cat room

No, we would not recommend for use in a cat room. The surface can get hot to touch and fur from the cat may get into the top grills.

Would it matter if the rad bottom touched the floor

Yes, it needs a 200mm (20cm) clearance or it can be used with the feet attached.

I have been trying to programme the timer; the instructions are impenetrable and I have given up. Do you have some instructions that donât assume I understand how this has been setup. It doesnât explain comfort or economy setup or how to set the timer to ensure a minimum temperature all day/night which is what I am trying to do. Many thanks

The Comfort mode is used when you are in the room (21c) the Eco mode been ideal to be used for night time or when you are not in the room (17c) The Frost Mode is recommending for use in extreme cold climates. The Heater can be programmed by pressing the Prog button for 3 seconds. Then the time would need to be programmed before programming the heater on a daily basis.

This is suitable to be used in an occupied room due to the silent operation.
