Heating your Bathroom with a Fan Heater

Both Downflow and standard Bathroom Fan heaters from leading brands included Dimplex, Heatstore and Levante. All heaters are wall mounted and can provide robust heat to any bathroom, kitchen or wet room environment. Some models include a thermostat and timer allowing close control over heat output and running costs.

Bathroom Fan Heaters:

The traditional bathroom heater, fitted to a wall with a pull down string to activate the heater. This type of heater is generally 2000 watts and the fan element ensures heat is dispersed quicker than a standard heater. 2KW Heaters can heat rooms up to 2000 cubic feet or 56.6 cubic metres. Most models can be installed as a 1KW unit if installation is going into a small bathroom to avoid wasting energy.

Some models do give the user the option to switch to a lower heat setting such as 1KW therefore keeping running costs to a minimum.

There are several options of Bathroom fan heaters; these can either be a down flow type, where the heat is emitted from below the heater or a standard model where the heat is dispersed at the same height as the heater itself.

All Bathroom fan heaters are IP rated meaning they are manufactured to be safely installed in a bathroom by a qualified professional. More advanced models carry adjustable thermostats which helps the user control both costs and to ensure that the bathroom is heated only when the temperature reaches low enough to be necessary. The Dimplex FX20VE model is fitted with a delay timer, as a result the heater will switch off automatically on the time set by yourself. This can also be used in reverse, by putting the heater on for an hour before a bath or shower, you can ensure the room is warm and comfortable enough.
