Should I Invest in a Clothes Airer?
If you are thinking of purchasing a clothes airer in order to dry your laundry, but are unsure if it is the right choice for you then here is a few things to consider that may help you decide. If your main priority when drying your clothes is to get through your loads as quickly as possible, then perhaps a clothes airer is not the best option for you. It is indisputable that clothes will take longer to dry when using an airer as opposed to a tumble dryer, however, there are many other benefits that drying your clothes this way that a tumble dryer just cannot compete with, whether it is the lower initial cost, the fact they take up much less room and that overall they are much better for you garments and will keep them in better condition than frequently using a tumble dryer. However, one of the biggest advantages that they hold is the amount of money they can save you in the long run.
A Cheaper Drying Solution

Clothes can dry easily in areas with increased airflow and with non-heated airer not relying on any kind of power source they are the perfect way to make a big dent in your electricity bills!

Heated Clothes Airer
Electric heated clothes airers have really gained popularity in recent years this is thanks to the fact they are a good balance between a traditional clothes airer and tumble dryers. These heated airers are usually designed with aluminium or other heated elements inside the hanging bars to aid with drying clothes faster than traditional airers, however, unlike high-powered tumble dryers many of these heated airers use very low wattage, usually around 300w or other models such as the Glamhaus 3 Tier Heated Clothes Airer with Cover use as little as 220w. This means they consume much less energy and costs much less than tumble dryers to run creating a happy balance between the 2 choices. So, it’s not hard to see why these units have become so popular in recent years.
Similar to their predecessor’s heated clothes airers also have the additional benefit of being made of lightweight yet robust material, which means that they can easily handle the weight of damp clothes but are light enough that you can easily manoeuvre them around your home to suit your needs.
