What should I look for?
There are a couple of things to consider when looking into the best kind of heater you should purchase. Take for example, how large is the area you wish to cover? Do you require something portable that can be moved around as needed, is your primary concern damp and frost? If you start from the point picking the right heater for you should become much easier.
Different Kinds of Workshop Heater
Here at HSD, we carry a wide range of heaters suitable for workshop environments, from panel heaters to tubular heaters we’ve got something for everyone.
Panel Heaters
If your primary concern is heating a large space, then a panel heater may be the way to go. We have a wide range of wall mountable and free-standing units ranging from 600w up to 2000w. All our panel heaters are designed with energy-saving features built-in such as open window detections, precise thermostats and programmable timers all of which help to reduce energy waste and save you money.
Fan heaters
Fan heaters are a fantastic solution for smaller areas where space is at a premium. Many fan heaters are incredibly compact and easily portable so they can be easily moved around and placed where you need them most. We also carry a wide range of space-saving overdoor heaters, these will help to block out drafts from doorways while warming up the room. Fan heaters are particularly handy for that area that gets very cold in the winter but is too warm during the summer, as many of them come with a cool function too.
Oil Radiators
Oil-filled radiators are a cost-efficient way to heat up any room. Their compact size also makes these heaters incredibly portable, making them extremely easy to take wherever you desire extra warmth. Many modern oil radiators come packed with features, such as timers and adjustable thermostats, to make achieving the perfect temperature a breeze.
Tubular Heaters
These incredibly slimline and compact devices are perfect for use in areas such as sheds and greenhouses, where frost and dampness are high risks. These particular types of heaters are not designed to fully heat up a room in the same way panel heater or oil radiators do. Instead, they are designed for the purpose of warding off dampness and helping protect plants in greenhouses from frost. They can also be used as an additional heat source along with regular heating near windows and doors that may let drafts in and allow warm air to escape
