So far two weeks into ownership I am very impressed with the blanket providing plenty of heat with the easy to use controller. I love the independant top half/bottom half temperature selection and also the independant side controllers, all blankets should be like this. The only detriment is the skirt to tuck under the mattress is too big for my 250mm thick mattress allowing the blanket to ruck up a little after a nights sleep requiring pulling taught again each morning but I guess this is more a fault of mattress manufactures making too many different thicknesses.

Chose this product after looking at lots of similar and reading oter reviews. The 4 separate zones are great and if you let it time out rather than switching it off it maintains your settings. It takes the chill off in 10-15 mins which I find is enough but gets even toastier after that. The pile on the 'plush finish' tends to make my sheet move overnight but this may be better with a fitted sheet (I use flat sheets). Overall I've been happy with it snd have enjoyed getting in to a warm bed.

My super king mattress is 6 ft×6ft 6inches ×10inches deep will your super king fit? And how much is it.

Can you switch on and heat one side and not the other?

Yes, just use the controller on the side you require heat.

Can this blanket be used plugged in to a smart plug so it can be switched on using alexa?

No, this will not work with a smart plug.

What do the heating elements look like? Can you lie on your back in a way that the above elements do not disturb your sleep?

The heating elements will not disturb your sleep.

What do you mean by the skirt? It is supposed to be fitted for the mattress, Or the bed too?

It has a deep elasticated skirt of 40cm that fits over your mattress.

Hi we have just purchased. My husband is 87 and at times can wet the bed a little. Is this a safety problem with electricity ? Thank you.

We would say this would be a safety issue. We have heated throws that can be placed on top of your duvet.

Can you wash this blanket

Yes, Unplug the Sweet Dreams Electric Blanket and disconnect the controller by lifting the flap/nipple and pull.

Cleaning instructions are as follows:

Do not dry clean the blanket. The blanket has waterproof heating elements making it safe to immerse in water and wash by machine. Always remove the controller first. Do not allow any of the controllers to be immersed in any liquid.

Remove the controller. Place in a washing machine (size permitting) Wash on a WOOL or DELICATES cycle with a neutral detergent or mild soap powder at a wash temperature of 30'c. Do not use high speeds or extra spin cycles.

What number on the timer do you use to get ready for bed .my old one you had a ready for bed button

Use heat settings 6-9 to pre-heat the electric blanket 10-15 minutes before going to bed.

Reading above questions,why is it ok to use with a memory foam mattress but not a memory foam topper and can you control the whole blanket from one side on a dual control one?

No, this is not suitable to be used with a memory foam topper or mattress. The memory foam will diminish over time.

Actual size? How far from the top does the heating start?

The King Size is approximately 203 x 152 x 40cm. The heating elements start around 50cm from the top of the Electric Blanket after the pillow area.

Is this a fleece under blanket with a quilted lining or vice versa? if it is both fleece and quilted, which side down would you fit onto the mattress?

The diamond-quilted plush finish is a very soft finish. The electric blanket should be positioned so that the connectors and controllers are positioned to the top of the mattress where the pillows are located.

Can I use this on my memoryfoam topped mattress

No, we would advise not to use it with a memory foam-topped mattress.
