No, they do not do the same job. We would not advise to use the Washing Machine Descaler in your Dishwasher. The formulas are very different the Dishwasher Rinse Aid contains anti foam which would affect your washing machine cycle.
Can rinse aid be used in my domestic Bosch dishwasher?
It can be used in any dishwasher with a dosing tray.
