What country is this made

These are manufactured and imported from China.

How long does it take to heat up?

The heat-up time can be between 10 to 15 minutes, depending on the room temperature and thickness of blankets over the blanket.

Are the separate controls at either side of bed, are they at head or bottom of bed

Yes, this is dual control with controls for each half of the bed. They are at positioned around shoulder height after the pillow area.

Can this be vat excempt if you are registered disabled

Unfortunately, this product is not VAT exempt.

How do I disconnect the controls on the blanket to wash.

Follow the controller to the Blanket and lift the plastic nipple with the back of a spoon and pull so that the controller then disconnects from the Mylek Electric Blanket for washing on a delicate 30 degree wash.

Does it have a hard plastic box on the top?

No, there is no hard plastic box on top. However, it does come in a plastic zip-around storage bag.

Can I use blanket with one of the controls detached because only me sleeps in the bed.

Is this an under blanket or an over blanket

This is an underblanket. It fits over your mattress with a deep elastic skirt.

Is the product expensive to use?

Each side of the blanket uses 60W of electricity, therefore if both sides are used, it would cost 1.2p per hour to used (based on your enery supplier charging 10p per KwH).

Can you tell me if the attachments for the controls are on the blanket itself? I am struggling to find one wjere the plastic isn't on the blanketbfor the control to be attached.

The connector for the controller is attached to the blanket.

Can this blanket be used on a memory foam mattress

No, this electric blanket cannot be used on a memory foam mattress.

Can I leave the heat on while I am in the bed

Yes, you can leave the blanket on while you are in bed. The blanket has an advanced overheat protection, so it would be safe to leave on throughout the night.

Can the blanket be tumble dried?

We would advise you to dry as naturally as possible (ie over a washing line would be ideal).

Can it be used with a matress topper

No, this is not suitable to be used with a memory foam topper.

What is the highest heat temperature?

The highest heat setting is 3. We cannot give an exact temperature in degrees celcius, as factors such as external room temperature would affect this.

What material is ithe qblanket made from?

This blanket is made from 100% polyester.

Does dual control mean that one side of this blanket can be heated but the other side is not heated

Dual control allows each side of the blanket to be operated separately. Each user can set the controller to their own requirements.

Our mattress is 30cm deep, will the Myelek dual control fitted electric blanket have deep enough sides to keep it in position please.

Is there a timer on this? Does it turn off after a certain length of time?

This blanket is a manual blanket and would require the user to switch the blank off with the controller.
