This is all dependant on water type in your area along with how often it is used. We are unable to provide an exact figure.
Vent has steam coming out,do I need a new stat, filter needs changing would that make it over heating.

I assume this has a 5l tank, so can supply up to 5l hot water immediately.
How much water can it heat per hour beyond that initial 5l please?

If the 5L tank was drained and re-filled, the cold 5L tank will take approximately 15 minutes to heat back up. Therefore if the tank was drained and re-filled in an hour, you could acheive around 20L of hot water.
