We all recognise that sanitising the areas that people use is a vital part of everybody’s cleaning routines now, especially in public spaces. However, it is also labour intensive and however thoroughly we do it, can we really be sure that we have covered every square inch?
Some materials are easier to sanitise than others. Hard surfaces made of wood, plastic, and metal are fairly easy but soft furnishings such as sofas, chairs, cushions, and window coverings less so. Remember as well, without the proper products and regularly changing cloths, you could in fact just be moving bacteria around.
There is a solution though. Working in a similar way to a pest-control fumer, a spray fogger can sanitise an entire room at the click of a button without any wiping or scrubbing.
How does it work?
A disinfectant spray fogger, such as AirSafe, has an alcohol-based formula (and you will know that this is the active ingredient in hand sanitiser), that neutralises the cells of bacteria and viruses. At the click of a button, it releases a sanitising mist into the atmosphere, making contact with every surface in the room. You simply leave the room and let it get to work.
How do you use it?
First of all, ensure that windows are closed and that all people and pets have vacated the room. Give the can a shake and place in the centre of the room. Click the click-and-lock trigger button, make sure it’s locked down and then leave the room, closing the door behind you. Leave it for an hour.
You can then re-enter the room and every surface will have been sanitised. It has a pleasant smell and doesn’t leave residue on surfaces.
Where can you use it?
You can use AirSafe in pretty much any enclosed space, even quite large ones. It is especially useful in public spaces that may see a lot of activity, such as waiting rooms, hair/beauty salons, shops etc. It works particularly well in vehicles so it’s really useful for taxis and other types of commercial, passenger-carrying cars and minibuses.

Buy NowCan it replace cleaning?
Spray foggers cannot ever fully replace hands-on cleaning, after all, it won’t remove dirt. What it does do is offer a real belt and braces strategy to sanitising when used in conjunction with standard cleaning, perhaps as a weekly deep sanitisation method.
