Bedbugs might seem relatively harmless when compared to other pests; they don’t carry diseases, won’t physically harm you, and aren’t venomous or poisonous. The pain bedbugs cause is largely mental; they can keep you up at night with their itchy bites and infest your bed and mattress to the point you have to throw the whole thing out, causing no end of stress and anxiety. What’s worse, bedbugs are notoriously difficult to get rid of, meaning dealing with them can feel like a never-ending nightmare if you’re not prepared for them. There are solutions for even the worst plague of bedbugs, though, so don’t fear. As long as you catch the infestation before it gets too bad, there are plenty of products you can use that will wipe out bedbugs for a fraction of the cost of an exterminator. We strongly recommend checking out our guide to identifying and preventing bedbugs while browsing our extensive range of quality bedbug-killing solutions before we go any further.
The Rule of Two
Whichever solution you go for, you should know it’s always better to use a combination of products to get the best results. This is because bedbugs are incredibly resilient and will hide in every nook and cranny in your bedroom and can even infest the core of your mattress. This means it’s likely that just using one product on its own will probably miss a few bedbugs, and before long they’ll breed and you’ll be back to square one again. Use a combination of factors – for example, having a protective mattress cover will stop bedbugs from infesting your mattress core, meaning a smoke bomb will kill all the bedbugs on the surface, while a Protector C spray will soak into your carpets and kill any others that might have survived the smoke bomb. Bedbugs wouldn’t be as infamous as they are if they were easy to get rid of, so don’t rely on one solution alone. Use a one-two punch to get the job done!
The Importance of Retreatment
It’s not just the bedbugs themselves you have to worry about, though. You’ve also got to contend with their eggs! Bedbugs can rapidly lay eggs, meaning that even if you wipe out every single bedbug in your home, you could still be left with thousands of eggs ready to hatch to start the infestation all over again. As most bedbug killers attack the brains of their targets, the unhatched eggs often aren’t affected by them. This is why you need to retreat the area with some Biopren spray after your initial bug-killing blitz. Biopren is an insect growth regulator for use on bedbugs and fleas, and it doesn’t technically kill the pests outright. What it does is stop them from growing to the next stage of their life cycle. This means that eggs won’t hatch and hatched bedbugs won’t be able to lay eggs of their own, stopping the infestation in its tracks. It’s also wise to follow up a Biopren treatment with another one-two punch-style treatment of sprays, powders, or smoke bombs to make doubly sure every last bedbug – and every last egg – is wiped out. While it’s highly likely the job is done, anyone who’s suffered a bedbug infestation before will tell you it’s better safe than sorry!

Hi, We recommend following the steps below: 1. Use your fogger, then after your fogger is finished ventilate the room for 3-4 hours (or overnight). 2. Use Biopren and a dusting powder as directed on the labels. 3. Use your fogger again 7-10 days later, repeating steps 1 and 2. We think around 3L of spray should do for a bungalow that size. All the best!
