I have a sheepskin mattress cover on my double bed. Would the electric blanket work under this cover?
Not recommended to be used with a sheepskin mattress cover.
Do the heating elements go all the way to the top of the blanket, so that under the pillow is warm?

No, the heating elements start 50cm from the top of the bed after the pillow area. The electric blanket heats your body and feet.
What are the measurements of the heated area, through which the elements run?
The heating elements start approximately 50cm from the top of the bed and approximately. Please look at the heating elements when placed on your bed to see the exact heating area. This will heat your body and feet.
Please tell me the length of the controller cables. Do I need to use an extension lead if my socket is only on one side?

This item is machine washable but is not tumble dry safe.

Why can this electric blanket not be used
on a memory foam mattress?
The benefits of the memory foam mattress will be diminished with having the electric blanket between your body and the mattress.
Does this electric blanket have a timer control allowing you to turn it off after an hour or so?
This product only has heat setting option, and does not have a timer.

I have homefront double achebc serial no po000690which I recall was machine washable. How do I disconnect controllers prior to washing
Please unplug the controller from the mains electric. Then follow the wire up to the blanket and you will see a plastic cover which has a small peg in it. Lift the plastic flap and this will release the controller from the blanket connection.
Is this safe for use with a pacemaker?
We would advise you to consult your GP about this matter. We cannot advise on medical issues.

Two questions: 1. Does the double size come with a single control? 2. What is the size of the actual heated area?
This blanket comes with dual controls and the actual heating size is from shoulder height down to the feet. There is a 9 inch (23cm) gap from the bottom of the feet to where the heating element starts, and around 3 inches (8 cm) at either side.
The electric blanket is machine washable. Please tell me at what setting it can safely be washed, as most wash settings have a spin at the end.
We would advise you to wash on a 'wool' or 'delicates' cycle at a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. Do not use high speed or extra spin cycles.
Is there a footcontrol on this model?
No, there is no foot control on this blanket. We would advise you to look at 152506 which has the foot control.
Do you need 2 plug sockets for the double.
Yes although if you only want to have one side of the bed on, you can just plug that side in with the other left unplugged.
Are your blankets, particularly the fleece one, designed to have a sheet on top of them. It was not clear from the video if this was the case.

Unfortunately this item cannot be spun dried.
Is it safe to have a padded mattress topper onto of the electric blanket?I have shoulder problems so need the extra softness.
Unfortunately this is not advised as it is unsafe to do this.
Can you tell me how deep the cover is, my mattress is 9 1/2 inches deep.
The depth of the fitted skirt is 32cm so should fit your bed.

Are these blankets ok to use with memory foam mattresses? I have read somewhere that it is ok, and somewhere else that says you need to be careful to turn off the electric blanket when you get into bed. Is there a final word from the manufacturer?
The manufaturer does not recommend the use of electric blankets with foam mattresses

This blanket is not spill proof. It has electric heating elements running through it. We would not recommend you to use on a memory foam mattress.
Are there any wires or other ridges you can feel when lying on top of this?

The wiring is extremely fine and can barely be felt when lying upon the blanket and the blanket is totally safe to be in bed when it is switched on.

I wish to replace my present double electric blanket, with one control unit, with the Homefront model ACHNWD as it scored very well in Which magazine. This blanket has duel controls which I do not need. Can one control be set to overide the other so that
